§ 3 Collection of personal data when visiting our website
(1) When using the website for purely informational purposes, i.e., if you do not register or otherwise provide us with information, we only collect the personal data that your browser transmits to our server. When you want to view our website, we collect the following data, which is technically necessary for us to display the website and ensure its stability and security (legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR):

  • IP address
  • Date and time of the request
  • Time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
  • Content of the request (specific page)
  • Access status/HTTP status code
  • Respective data volume transmitted
  • Website from which the request originates
  • Browser
  • Operating system and its interface
  • Language and version of the browser software.

The collection of this data does not occur continuously but only when it is necessary for technical or security reasons. (2) In addition to the aforementioned data, cookies are stored on your computer when you use our website. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your hard drive and associated with the browser you are using, and through which certain information flows to the entity setting the cookie (in this case, us). Cookies cannot execute programs or transmit viruses to your computer. They serve to make the overall internet offering more user-friendly and effective.

§ 4 Use of cookies:
a) This website uses the following types of cookies, the scope and functioning of which are explained below:

  • Transient Cookies (see b)
  • Persistent Cookies (see c).

b) Transient cookies are technically necessary and are automatically deleted when you close the browser (legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR). This includes session cookies in particular. They store a session ID, which can be used to assign various requests from your browser to the shared session. This allows your computer to be recognized when you return to our website. The session cookies are deleted when you log out or close the browser.
c) Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a specified duration, which can vary depending on the cookie. You can delete the cookies at any time in the security settings of your browser. These cookies are only set if you have given your consent (legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR).
d) You can configure your browser settings according to your preferences, for example, to reject third-party cookies or all cookies. We would like to point out that you may not be able to use all functions of this website.
e) The technically necessary Flash cookies used are not detected by your browser but by your Flash plug-in. We also use HTML5 storage objects, which are stored on your device. These objects store the necessary data regardless of the browser you use and do not have an automatic expiration date. If you do not want Flash cookies to be processed, you must install an appropriate add-on, such as the Adobe Flash cookie killer for Google Chrome. You can prevent the use of HTML5 storage objects by using the private mode in your browser. We also recommend regularly manually deleting your cookies and browser history.

For this purpose, you usually need to provide further personal data, which we will use to provide the respective service and for which the principles of data processing mentioned above apply.
(2) In some cases, we use external service providers to process your data. These service providers have been carefully selected and commissioned by us, are bound by our instructions, and are regularly monitored.
(3) If our service providers or partners are located in a country outside the European Economic Area (EEA), we will inform you about the consequences of this circumstance in the description of the offering.

§ 6 Objection or revocation of the processing of your data
(1) If you have given consent for the processing of your data, you can revoke it at any time. Such revocation does not affect the lawfulness of the processing of your personal data prior to your revocation.
(2) If we base the processing of your personal data on a balancing of interests, you can object to the processing. This applies if the processing is not necessary for the performance of a contract with you, as described in the respective function descriptions. If you exercise such objection, please explain the reasons why we should not process your personal data as we have done. Upon receipt of your objection, we will review the situation and either cease or adjust the data processing, or present our compelling legitimate grounds for continuing the processing.
